I have been lucky to work with miss Oakley since she was a newborn. Her parents are super kind and I love seeing how in love they are with their little princess. Oakley was quite shy the day she came in to see me but I still think we got some great images of her!

Hey all!
Just coming off 3 months maternity leave I was a bit nervous to get back to work but I couldn’t have done it with a better client! Miss Lauren was a total doll to work with. She came in a lacy vintage inspired dress and I was in heaven. Check out a few photos from her session! My studio is located in Courtice, 5 minutes east of Oshawa.

Hey all,
I’ve heard it so many times from fellow photographers, “It’s so hard to shoot your own newborn’s session”. Why didn’t I listen!? I thought I would have this perfect little baby model at home that I could practice on anytime. Also that he’d be so good for me because I knew exactly how to make babies sleepy and when to photograph them. That didn’t quite go as planned… When your a new mom your SUPER tired so the last thing you want to do is any extra work. It would have been a lot easier to hand them off to another more well rested photographer. Another thing I found difficult was trying to pose baby while still feeling uncomfortable from giving birth!! Regardless, I am stubborn and I did end up with some photos I do love. There are some poses I just didn’t have the time to get to and not as many family images as I would have liked (especially ones with me in them) but all in all I am happy with them.

I’ve been at home with my kiddos for the past two months and loving all the time I get to spend with them. I’m also looking forward to coming back to work May 1st and already have some sessions scheduled into the fall. I definitely have been missing photography during my time off and all the sweet littles I have the pleasure to work with!
